This year the British Council, organisers of the Lagos Theatre Festival has added an extra event to the festival. The extra event is a fringe show which is a series of open-mic performances targeted at showcasing raw talents with daring and authentic live performance work.
To participate in the fringe show, applicants are expected to send a proposal of not more than 200 words indicating the title and nature of your performance as well as its duration to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. You must copy both emails to apply.
Application opens from 29th of January to 12th of February 2014 while shortlisted applicants will be contacted on the 15th of February 2014.
The rules are simple. All entries must be online and it is restricted to one proposal per person (or group) and performances are to be between 10 – 15 minutes. Also note that all proposals should include Name, Age, Sex, phone number and email address.
The fringe show is a free for all show and the general public is allowed to attend for free. Hence no payment whatsoever would be give to performers. However due credit and recognition would be given to performers and artists for their works.
