Title: The Contract

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Starring: Hlomla Dandala, Yvonne Okoro, Joseph Benjamin, Amanobia Boakyi

Director: Shirley Frimpong-Manso

Year: 2013

The Contract revolves around three main characters: Abena Boateng (Yvonne Okoro), Peter Puplampo (Hlomla Dandala) and his lawyer who is played by Joseph Benjamin.
Abena signs a contract to become a surrogate mother for Peter’s children. The visuals and acting are great. We also get to hear Ghanaian music. Unfortunately, the sound is not optimised throughout and in some scenes, the dialogue is overpowered by the background music. The lighting also could have also been improved. While there are some didactic elements to the film, some parts seem to be have been added just for comedic value.  A nice rom-com.
