When One Door Closes, one of this summer’s most touching films, has been selected for screening at the San Diego Black Film Festival. For those who may not know, the San Diego Black Film Festival is one of the largest Black festivals in the United States. It was founded in 2003 as a means of preserving African-American film and spotlighting both African-American and African Diaspora Cinema. The festival is held in Southern California in January of every year and is notorious for attracting numerous stars including music producer Jay Z, famous actresses like Diane Carroll, and the like. To date, the San Diego Black Film Festival hosts people from all over California and across the US. It has become one of the most popular events for some of Hollywood’s famous filmmakers.
The movie stars Van Vicker, Chet Anekwe, Carl Payne, and tells a remarkable tale of our struggles and triumphs. The producers are elated and are truly looking forward to the screening of this dynamic film at the San Diego Black Film Festival. The festival will be held from 30 January – 2 February 2014. Hope to see you there!
