100 Word Review: Brother’s Keeper scores high on the acting but the details still need fine tuning

Title: Brother’s Keeper

Genre: Drama

Starring: Omoni Oboli, Majid Michel, Beverly Naya, Barbara Soki

Director: Ikechukwu Onyeka

Year: 2013

In Brother’s Keeper, the two leads Chude/Chidi (Majid Michel) and Mena (Omoni Oboli) are so good that you want to believe what you’re watching is real life. While it is easy to guess what has happened early on, finding out the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ will keep you hooked till the end. Lighting as with most Nollywood movies is a big issue here and the background musical selection could have been much better. Worst of all are the subtitles which are ridden with typos and grammatical errors. Packed with suspense, action, drama, tears and romance; this movie scores well above average.
