Title: Dependence

Genre: Short Film

Director: Brian Wilson

Year: 2012

The first thought that comes into my mind whenever I watch Dependence is, “This is absolutely brilliant”. It goes straight to the point and hits the nail on the head, or should I say hit the bottle on the head. With a deep understanding of symbolism, the director portrays the hopeless and deluded mind of a drunk, hence projecting a crystal clear message. However, somebody forgot to pay attention to the audio. Not only is the lack of an appropriate score frustrating, the unfiltered noise coming from the set is equally infuriating. Aside the sound issues, Dependence is plainly great.
