Title: The Enigmatic Truth

Genre: Short Film

Director: Ronke Ogunmakin

Year: 2013

For an occurrence that happens daily, The Enigmatic Truth fails to embody its theme fully. The major problem of the short film probably lies with the actors and casting rather than the script and directing. Recognisably, tales of domestic violence have more depth than is shown, but understandably, this is just a short film. Nonetheless, Ojie Imoloame could have done better with regards to the actors chosen. Obviously as seen in other scenes Ronke is not a lazy director, but the assistant director’s choice of casts might have marred what could have been the most dramatic representation of domestic violence.
