Recently premiered in Uyo is Akan. Akan is a movie directed by Desmond Elliot and produced by Archie Sam. The movie which is all about what makes a woman a wife material features an array of stars that include Alex Ekubo, Venita Akpofure and Grace Johnson. Akan was nominated for 2014 GIAMA award in the Best Indigenous Film category.
