As preparations ramp up for the third edition of the  Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, the Regional Director, Mnet (West Africa), Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu says 2015 promises to be an exciting year for Africa Magic viewers and lovers of entertainment.

Speaking with journalists recently, Mba-Uzoukwu said:,”The third Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards promises to be bigger and better than than the previous two editions. For this edition, we recorded a significantly higher number of entries compared to the last one; we’ve also seen an improvement generally in the quality of the entries.”

Voting for the third edition of the AMVCAs is currently ongoing and viewers can vote up to 100 times for their favourite movies. Voting can be done online via web, wap or via the Wechat app.

The AMVCAs were created to celebrate the excellence in the African film and television industry. Now approaching the third edition, the awards have gained renown across the continent and globally.  The third edition of the awards holds in 2015 even as new, exciting programming launches on the Africa Magic channels.

Mba-Uzoukwu added: “In 2015, viewers of Africa Magic should expect more exciting and fresh content; we’ve already begun the year on an exciting note, launching a number of shows including our highly rated telenovela, Hotel Majestic, and others like The Calabash, Poisoned Bait and V-Republic. This is however just the beginning and our viewers should watch this space.”
