Big Brother and the Pepper Dem Housemates had their first Diary Room sessions yesterday and today. Yesterday, the 5th Day in the Big Brother house, the housemates were made to face a long period of silence, courtesy the Task Biggie gave them, sealed lips however became opened during the diary sessions and all the gist, gossip and laughter poured out in torrents. The door to the diary room has traffic lights which the housemates have to wait to turn green before they can go in.
Sir Dee, Ella, Nelson, Esther, Omashola, Diane, Mike, Jackye and Jeff had their Diary Room sessions first, yesterday while Frodd, Mercy, Khafi, Kimoprah, Avala, Tuoyo, Seyi, Thelma and Gedoni had theirs today. Listening to the housemates, we got a feel of how they feel about the House and other Housemates.
The first Housemate to go in was Sir Dee and we could literally hear the sound of relief he breathed to be able to speak freely again.
Omashola was the star in yesterday’s Diary Room chit chat with Biggie. His session was unusual and hilarious as he switched to pidgin and gave funny expressions. When Big Brother sought his thoughts on the ladies in the House, Omashola words were “Dem make sense die”. He also told Biggie that the Housemates were bonding too much and should be given tasks that will slacken the bonds they have built among themselves.
On which Housemate irritated him, he revealed Tacha irritated him from the beginning. He said Tacha downgraded other Housemates on launch night but on entering the house she realized they were all people of great calibre.
One of the questions Big Brother asked the Housemates was which Housemate has irritated them in the House. Ella and Mercy told Biggie that they found Isilomo irritating. While Ella said Isilomo is aggressive when things do not go her way, Mercy was quite subtle as she said Isilomo irritated her initially but felt they are now better. Omashola and Diane both said Tacha irritated them. Omashola in his defense said Tacha came off to him as a proud as during the launch, she said she doesn’t see other Housemates. Diane mentioned Tacha because she came across as a defensive person at first but her knowing her has changed her opinion. Isilomo said that Frodd irritates her while she finds Ella interesting.
However Avala said at first Isilomo irritated her but then after chatting with her for some period she realized they have both been through similar experiences. Kimoprah also thinks Isilomo takes out her anger or aggression on others.
Frodd seems to admire Esther, he kept saying his discussions with her were emotional. He also said he sees her as someone who has built a wall to guard herself from being hurt.
Biggie caught Jackye sleeping during the mute task and during her diary session Biggie said she would be punished although Jackye apologized.
Arena Games
The housemates were asked to group themselves into three groups of 7 for the bet9ja Arena games starting tonight. At first, Jeff the head of house chose three males to head each team. This did not go down well with some of the ladies, especially Tacha, Khafi and Isilomo. Jeff eventually apologized. So Tuoyo, Mike and Isilomo represented each team. Green, White and Red respectively. The trio chose their team.
Red – Isilomo, Tacha, Esther, Nelson, Gedoni, Khafi, Jackye.
White – Mike, Mercy, Ella, Ike, Frodd, Avala, Jeff.
Green – Tuoyo, Sirdee, Diane, Seyi, Omashola, Kim, Thelma.
