After months of eager anticipation, fans of Kemi Adetiba’s King of Boys can now stream the film live on Netflix.

King of Boys follows the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami (played by Sola Sobowale), a businesswoman and philanthropist whose political ambition triggers a series of events that leaves her in a quandary.

Netflix, an American entertainment and media service provider that offers subscription-based streaming service, is always on the lookout for more content to offer to its over 148 million paid subscribers in more than 190 countries.

In a quest to satisfy the growing demands of their subscribers for more Nigerian content, Netflix has been acquiring worldwide distribution rights of original Nigerian films. They acquired the distribution rights of Genevieve Nnaji’s Lionheart in September 2018. Other Nollywood movies Netflix has acquired the distribution rights for include: Niyi Akinmolayan’s Chief Daddy and The Wedding Party 2, Kemi Adetiba’s The Wedding Party, Ayo Makun’s Merry Men, and Kunle Afolayan’s Mokalik and Phone Swap.
