Michael Omonua’s The Man Who Cuts Tattoos is one of two Nollywood films that will be premiering at this year’s BFI London Film Festival.
The film, which is produced by Abba Makama, follows the story of two young women, separated by generations, who must ponder the painful sacrifices they have to make for love. The Man Who Cuts Tattoos will screen at the festival on the 8th and 9th of October, 2019. It features Omowunmi Dada, Itohan Igbinidu, Valerie Dish and Duke Elvis.

Also expected to premiere at the 2019 BFI London Film Festival is Funmi Iyanda’s Walking with Shadows. Walking with Shadows is a film adaptation of Jude Dibia’s 2005 novel of the same title.
The film features Wale Ojo, Zainab Balogun, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Ozzy Agu and a host of others. Walking with Shadows follows the story of Ebele Njoku whose quest for acceptance forces him to hide his sexual orientation.
Walking with Shadows will premiere on the 9th and 10th of October, 2019. Click here to watch the trailer.

Another Nollywood film which will screen at the BFI London Film Festival is Abba Makama’s The Lost Okoroshi. The film features Judith Audu, Seun Ajayi, Tope Tedela, Ifu Ennada, Chiwetalu Agu and a host of others.
