The Shine Ya Eye housemates showcased their music knowledge last night with the Boomplay music-themed task. Like past tasks the contestants have participated in, this task was also divided into stages.
First, the housemates moved to the arena where they were divided into 5 teams and each team was expected to create and save a playlist on the Boomplay app within 10 minutes. They also had to tell a story with their playlists using the song titles available on Boomplay.
Next was the ‘guess the song’ stage which tested the contestants’ music mastery by asking them to complete the lyrics of some songs. The housemates were divided into 3 teams: Afrobeats, Highlife and Alte. Team Afrobeats had Saskay, Cross, Yousef, Nini, Michael and Jackie B as members while Team Highlife was made up of Liquorose, Queen, Boma, Tega and Jaypaul. Angel, Peace, Pere, Emmanuel, Saga made up Team Alte.
For this stage, each team had a representative whose job was to provide answers to questions asked after deliberating with their team members.
Meet the Winners
So, who won? Jackie B won the first stage of the task, earning five hundred thousand naira. For the second task, Team Highlife won and they got one million, five hundred thousand to share among themselves. The wins are definitely piling up!
