Oga Bolaji, a 2018 drama, is the director’s latest work to land a Netflix global release. An excited Kasum shared the news on his Instagram handle.
The film follows the story of a simple happy go lucky 40-year-old retired musician (Gold Ikponmwosa) whose life takes a drastic turn when he crosses paths with a young girl (Jasmine Fakunle).
Oga Bolaji showcases the resilient, ingenuity of the Nigerian spirit: The way we live, our pains, limitations and how we continue to strive, hope and dream.
The feature film is directed by Kayode Kasum, produced by Muyiwa Bakare and stars Ikponmwosa Gold, Idowu Philips, Omowumi Dada, Gregory Ojefua, Jasmine Fakunle, Ronke Ojo and Officer Woos.
When it was initially released in 2018, it was to much critical acclaim and the movie won the 2018 Best Of Nollywood Awards in the Best Child Actress category.
