It’s November, the penultimate month of the year. How has your year been? Nollywood has seen the release of so many titles this year. Have you taken time to watch them either at the cinemas or on Netflix? If you answered yes, then you would want to check out the new titles coming to both platforms this November. If you answered no, you can still do so. And what better way to start than by going through our list below.
To spare you any long commentary, below are the movies and shows coming to Netflix this November.
Cinemas:

Ring of Deceit – If you love family dramas then you would want to see Ring Of Deceit, a movie that stars Segun Arinze. The movie follows the story of two families, who are in-laws-to-be as they navigate secrets and lies that must not be exposed. Directed by Andy Boyo other stars in Ring Of Deceit are Binta Ayo Mogaji, Segun Arinze and Bassey Ekpenyong and Belinda Effah. The family drama will be in cinemas from 5 November. What Happened At St. James – Slated for a 19 November release, What Happened At St James is a thriller that follows the story of three men and a past crime that comes back to haunt them.
The movie features Zack Orji, Femi Branch, Ken Erics, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kelechi Udegbe, Nelly Ejianwu, Bolaji Ogunmola, Rachel Oniga, Gregory Ojefua, Chris Iheuwa, Vich Vitalis, Jumoke George and Yemi Shodimu. Check out its trailer here.

Soólè – If you live in Lagos chances are you would have boarded a Soólè before. So you might be wondering why a movie is dedicated to an everyday phenomenon? Well, Kayode Kasum can best answer your question. The movie follows the adventure of a group of travellers in a Soólè bus on their way home for Christmas. The hapless passengers eventually find themselves entangled in a cat-and-mouse game with dangerous criminals.
The thriller, which will be in cinemas from 26 November, stars Sola Sobowale, Femi Jacobs, Meg Otanwa, Adedimeji Lateef, Shawn Faqua, Adunni Ade, Eso Dike, Kelechi Udegbe and Bukunmi Oluwasina. Click here to view cast posters and watch Soólè’s teaser.

Dubara – Do you love jungle adventures? Toka McBaror is ready to give you your fill in Dubara. The film has an amazing cast lineup including Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi), Lizzy Jay, Belinda Effah, Eso Dike, Blessing Obasi, Asabe Madaki, Okechi Diamond, Saeed “Funky Mallam” Mohammed, Ime “Okon Lagos” Umoh, Mc Smart, Bay Ray, Mr Chino, Peace Garba and Brain Jotter.

Coming To Netflix
Three Nigerian titles have been slated for release on the American streaming platform, Netflix. Check them out below.

Oga Bolaji – Come 3 November, Kayode Kasum’s Oga Bolaji will start streaming on Netflix. The film follows the story of a simple happy go lucky 40-year-old retired musician (Gold Ikponmwosa) whose life takes a drastic turn when he crosses paths with a young girl (Jasmine Fakunle).
The feature film is produced by Muyiwa Bakare and stars Ikponmwosa Gold, Idowu Philips, Omowumi Dada, Gregory Ojefua, Jasmine Fakunle, Ronke Ojo and Officer Woos. Check out its trailer here.

Amina – Historical movie lovers will love to see Amina, the period film about the 16th-century Queen Amina of Zazzau. The period movie is produced by Okey Ogunjiofo and directed by Izu Ojukwu.It stars Lucy Ameh, Ali Nuhu, Clarion Chukwura, Yakubu Mohammed and Magaji Mijinyawa.

In My Room – The 2020 COVID-19-induced lockdown led to so many things. From innovations to new discoveries and more. Amongst the creative expressions arising from the lockdown is comedian Kenny Blaq’s In My Room. This is a one-man show featuring the comedian’s reflection about the coronavirus, airport customs and more. You will be able to stream it from 17 November 2021.
