In an unprecedented move as far as Nollywood is concerned, Play Network Studios has announced it will soon release a game titled ‘Aki And Pawpaw Epic Run’ game.
The announcement was shared via the company’s Instagram handle with the caption below.
“We are happy to announce that in line with our exclusive exploitation rights to the brand ‘Aki & PawPaw’, we are at the final stages of the first ever Nollywood Game, Aki & Paw Paw Run, powered by @playnetworkafr and @playnetworkstudios. Available to download soon on all iOS and Android devices.”

Aki (Chinedu Ikedieze) and Pawpaw (Osita Iheme) are two Nigerian actors whose appearance in the 2002 Aki Na Ukwa movie shot them to the limelight. The star actors have since appeared in numerous other movies and Pawpaw has been a favourite character in Nigerian memes for years.
Play Network Studios is an award-winning production company established in 2018. The studio acquired the rights to the Aki and Pawpaw brand this year and they have gone on to remake the Aki And Pawpaw movie which will be released in December 2021.
Introducing the ‘Aki And Pawpaw’ game is definitely an impressive move for Nollywood and we look forward to seeing more of this.
