Mo Abudu

In what is soon becoming a signature style, Mo Abudu of EbonyLife Studios has snagged another production deal with STARZ, a major Hollywood studio. Her new deal will see her executive produce an African Warrior Queen movie, Queen Nzinga, alongside Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Steven S. DeKnight and Yetide Badaki.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Queen Nzinga tells the story of an innocent princess in 17th century Angola who transforms into a fearless warrior queen and wages a ferocious 40-year guerrilla war against the kingdom’s formidable enemies and the cruel subjugation of her people by Portuguese slavers. Nzinga would come to sacrifice everything to defend her people’s dignity, liberty and freedom.

From Netflix to BBC Studio and Sony Pictures, this is not Abudu’s and her EbonyLife Studios’ first foray into international deals. We wish her and her team more wins!!!
