Ahead of its September 30 Netflix premiere, the trailer for Kunle Afolayan’s forthcoming epic film, Aníkúlápó, has been released.
Aníkúlápó (he who has death in his pouch) follows the story of Saro, a sojourner who finds his way to Oyo in search of greener pastures. There he finds favour, and things begin to change for good. Unfortunately, he found love in a forbidden place, longed for the abominable, and eventually got caught in a web of lust.
The film stars Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi, Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan, Moji Afolayan, Ronke Ojo, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Aisha Lawal, Adebowale Adedayo, Kareem Adepoju, Faithia Balogun and more.
Aníkúlápó is the third in a slate of films Afolayan has produced in collaboration with Netflix. Swallow and A Naija Christmas are other titles borne out of the collaboration.
