Actor and filmmaker Bolu Essien has premiered a teaser for Becoming Abi, a dramedy series that is inspired by true-life events and based on her experience working in an advertising firm.
The six-part series follows the story of a young working professional as she navigates through many work and life challenges while working in one of Nigeria’s leading advertising agencies.
Becoming Abi stars Bolu Essien (who plays the role of Abi), Biodun Stephen, Juliana Olayode, Benita Okojie, Akah Nnani, Seun Ajayi, Idowu Phillips, Opeyemi Akintunde, Stan Nze, Olu “SLK” Salako, April Oshidipe and Buknik.
The series is written, directed and produced by Bolu Essien. It will debut on Netflix globally come October 28, 2022.
Bolu Essien’s film credits include Locked and Things That Broke Us, which are both short films.
