Filmmaker and actor Kemi “Lala” Akindoju has joined the Amazon Studios Local Originals team as a Senior Movies Creative Executive for Nigeria. The excited actor shared the announcement via her official Instagram handle earlier today. The post was captioned:
I am incredibly excited to be joining the Amazon Studios Local Originals team as the Senior Movies Creative Executive, Nigeria.
Amazon Studios has shown its commitment to creating opportunities that are laser focused on creatives & content.
It is such an honour to be part of the team committed to making that happen in Nigeria. Not only does it align with my personal passion – growing Nollywood as a whole, as well as growing and honing talent in Nigeria, I get to work with the most amazing and talented team!

Akindoju’s appointment is coming as part of an expansion in the Amazon Studios Originals African team. Other executives appointed include Kaye Ann Williams, Brendan Gabriel and Mike-Steve Adeleye.
Akindoju has appeared in and produced numerous movies, including Dazzling Mirage, The Smart Money Woman, Eyimofe, The Ghost and the House of Truth and Your Excellency.
