Greoh Studios’ Gangs Of Lagos Screens Exclusively At The 2022 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)

Industry networking, learning sessions, film screenings and more are some of the events lined up for the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, which is holding September 8 – 18 in Canada. Two Nigerian films have been screened so far at the festival. They are EbonyLife Films’ Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman, which had its world premiere on September 10, 2022. The second Nollywood title screened at the festival is Greoh Studios’ Amazon Original Gangs of Lagos, which screened exclusively on September 12, 2022.

Gangs of Lagos is a high-stakes, gritty, and hard-hitting action crime-thriller with an authentic storyline centred on a group of friends who each have to navigate destiny, growing up on the bustling streets and neighbourhood of Isale Eko, Lagos. Starring Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and Chiké, Gangs of Lagos is directed and produced by Jade Osiberu, produced by Kemi Lala Akindoju and co-produced by Akin Omotoso.

Jade Osiberu shared pictures from the screening, which was attended by the cast, crew and well-wishers of Gangs of Lagos, including Kemi Lala Akindoju, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, OC Ukeje, Naz Onuzo, Akah Nnani, Kunle Afolayan and more.

Gangs of Lagos is scheduled to launch exclusively on Prime Video in Nigeria and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide later this year.
