On Sunday, 25 September 2022, the IMAX Cinemas, Lekki, Lagos, played host to an excited crowd who were there for the private premiere of Kunle Afolayan’s epic drama, Aníkúlápó.
Aníkúlápó (he who has death in his pouch) follows the story of Saro, a sojourner who finds his way to Oyo in search of greener pastures. There he finds favour, and things begin to change for good. Unfortunately, he found love in a forbidden place, longed for the abominable, and eventually got caught in a web of lust.
The premiere was attended by cast and crew of the film and other notable individuals from without and within the entertainment industry. Faces at the event include Adebayo Salami, Deyemi Okanlawon, Tunde Kelani, Sola Sobowale, Sharon Ooja, Kunle Remi and more.
Aníkúlápó is slated for a September 30 cinemas and Netflix release. Check out photos from the premiere below:
