Welcome to June! As is our custom, here is a roundup list of 5 Nollywood titles to expect in cinemas and Netflix this June.

The Order of Things

How far will you go for love? That’s the question The Order of Things seeks to answer. It follows the story of a young man, Tunde (Timini Egbuson), who wants to get married but is met with stiff opposition by his mother, Mama (Binta Ayo Mogaji) who insists his elder brother, Demi (Obi Maduegbuna) must marry first. To ensure his brother gets his wish, Demi embarks on a dating spree to find a wife.

The Order of Things is Sidney Esiri’s debut movie and it features Lateef Adedimeji, Sandra Okonzuwa, Tope Olowoniyan, Hadiza Bello Olo (Dija), Lillian Afegbai, Ademola Adedoyin, Seyi Awolowo, Dorathy Bachor, Lizzy James and Maria Chike Benjamin.

Produced by Zero Gravity Studio and Film One Productions, The Order of Things will be in cinemas from June 10, 2022. Watch the trailer here.

Breaded Life

One of 2021’s most-talked-about movie, Biodun Stephen’s Breaded Life is a comedy-drama about experiencing life from another’s perspective. It features Timini Egbuson, Tina Mba, Bisola Aiyeola, Bimbo Ademoye, MC Lively, Bolanle Ninalowo and Lateef Adedimeji. Breaded Life will hit Netflix on June 10, 2022.

Glamour Girls

Glamour Girls is a Netflix Original from the stables of Play Network Studios, makers of Aki and Pawpaw, and Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story. It is a remake of the two-part 1994 movie with the same title which featured Nollywood old-timers like Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Zack Orji, Pat Attah and Ngozi Ezeonu.

The remake features a star-studded cast including Nse Ikpe-Etim, Sharon Ooja, Joselyn Dumas, Toke Makinwa and Segilola Ogidan. Expected premiere date for Glamour Girls is June 24, 2022. It will be available exclusively on Netflix. Check out the teaser here.

Ile Owo

If horror thrillers are your thing then you should anticipate Dare Olaitan’s Ile Owo. Produced by Kayode Kasum, Ile Owo stars Efa Iwara, Bisola Aiyeola, Bukunmi “Kie Kie” Adeaga-Ilori, Sophie Alakija, Akin Lewis, Temisan Emmanuel, Demola Adedoyin, Mofe Duncan, Tina Mba, Immaculata Oko Kasum, Jblaze Jide Oyegbile, Patrick Diabuah, Taye Arimoro and Ikponmwosa Gold.

Ile Owo is heading straight to cinemas and will start showing from June 24, 2022.

A True Blue June

Starring Segun Arinze, Bimbo Manuel, Yemi Solade and Ayo Badmus, A True Blue June is a political thriller produced by OT Bolts Productions. It follows the unravelling of events that trails Ayomide Kashoro’s, a philanthropist and man of the people, quest to become a governor’s seat as the country transitions from military to civilian rule.

Other casts in the movie include Yvonne Jegede, Kunle Coker, Hassan Hassan, Blessing Onwukwe, Charles Okwocha and Chris Iheuwa. Watch the trailer below.
