Blossom Chuks Chukwujekwu Dishes on Love, Style and Being a Gunner for Life!
Blossom Chuks Chukwujekwu is most famous for his role as Tunde Kulani, a playboy Nollywood star, in Michelle Bello’s romantic comedy, Flower Girl. The rising actor who has been nominated for two awards at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in Finding Mercy will also be featuring alongside top Nollywood acts in Commandment 7 and Forgetting June.
Do you feel that being a ‘fine boy, no pimple’ could be a barrier in getting more ‘serious’ and ‘baddie’ kind of roles?
Lol. I have always said that I first want to be known and remembered for the excellence and versatility of my craft and not just looks. It has sure cost me some roles I really would have loved to play but hey, that’s the game; you have to look the part. I don’t see barriers. If I didn’t get, it wasn’t mine to have.
Are you in a relationship?
No, I am not.
Describe your ideal woman?
I want a good Christian woman, of course with the additions of beauty, intelligence and a teachable heart.
What is your most prized possession?
If I told you that I’ll have to kill you…lol…lips sealed.
How would you define your style?
Less is more for me. Simply stand out.
Who in Hollywood would you love to work with in the future?
Ah! They are plenty o! Kimberley Elise and Will Smith readily come to mind.
If you were not acting, what would you be doing?
I would have been a football manager.
Which Football club do you support?
I have been an Arsenal fan since 1997. Gunners for life!
What advice do you have for an upcoming actor?
First of all, know what you want. Put God first, work hard, stay focused, disciplined and committed. Make sure money is never your motivation and love what you do.
What is your favourite perfume?
I love a couple but Sean John’s Unforgiven stands out.
