Editor’s Note:
Welcome to Issue 14 of Nolly Silver Screen magazine. We are glad this edition is finally out after weeks at the drawing board innovating and renovating the publication.
Our cover star Dagogo Diminas is a filmmaker on a mission. His film Stigma explores the emotional torture people living with HIV/AIDS suffer. According to him, it is the stigma of the disease that kills the person much faster. Read all about in our cover interview.
Our deputy editor, Wilfred Okiche profiles the new establishment in Nollywood. They may be young but these guys mean business and are gradually becoming names to reckon with in the industry. We would like to hear from you on who you think is the next big star to watch out for.
You might be wondering who is behind the new look of the magazine? His name is Kazeem Onafuwa, a new member of the Nolly Silver Screen team. We like his fresh and modern interpretation in the layout.
While the AMVCAs might have come and gone, some of the winners are still basking in the glow of their victory. We speak to Kehinde Bankole, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Imoh Umoren and CJ Obasi. Genevieve Nnaji and some of the theatre students sponsored by Amstel Malta also share their experiences at the awards.
Enjoy!
