The popular paid TV provider made it known recently that there would be a hike in the tariffs paid by subscribers in accordance with the 7.5% tax increment.
Earlier this year, the Federal Government announced an increase in the tax payment which went from 5% to 7.5%, effected as from February 1. Virtually all businesses adhered to this but DStv and GOtv did not. With there being a lacuna between the income and output of the companies, however, it has become imperative that the new VAT increase be effected.
Customers should therefore expect the following increase from June 1:
