DStv and Telemundo recently hosted TV stars, Carmen Aub and Alberto Agnesi in Lagos as part of the the Telemundo Talent Tour.
Aub shared details of the soon to be launched telenovela, Lord of the Skies where she plays the role of the villainous Rutila Casillas.
In Lord of the Skies, Aurelio Casillas is determined to become the most powerful and only man to take the place of Pablo Escobar Gaviria. He has more than enough ambition, intelligence and passion to achieve it. However, he must now fear an enemy that is quite difficult to hide – his own face. The person who made his face public was Marco Mejia, a Mexican police officer, for whom capturing the feared drug lord has become a matter of honour. Mejia is motivated by feelings of justice and a thirst for vengeance; it was Casillas who killed his father years ago. But Casillas will not be caught that easily. Feeling cornered and in order to protect his family, he decides to undergo a high-risk plastic surgery to conceal his face.
Agnesi returns for a third season next month as FBI agent Marcelo Doriga in the popular, Woman of Steel.
The third season of Woman of Steel focuses on the life of Vicenta Rigores, better known as “La Coyote” (Carolina Miranda), a beautiful young woman who helps immigrants cross the borders of Mexico into the United States. Vicenta is one of the most respected and feared coyotes – immigrants seek her because she has a reputation for protecting them with her life when they pass the edge. She has the support of the love of her life, Abelardo Casares (Adrián Di Monte) the son of the man who murdered Vincenta’s mother. Together they will be able to face the power of Chucho Casares, and bring him down.
The pair met with some of their fans on February 15, 2018, at Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos Nigeria. They described Nigerians as very warm and happy people noting with pleasant surprise, the passion they have for Telemundo soap operas.
