Industry networking, learning sessions, film screenings and more are some of the events lined up for the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, which is holding September 8 – 18 in Canada. Two Nigerian films have been screened so far at the festival. They are EbonyLife Films’ Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman, which had its world premiere on September 10, 2022. Starring Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and Chiké, Gangs of Lagos is directed and produced by Jade Osiberu, produced by Kemi Lala Akindoju and co-produced by Akin Omotoso.
Jade Osiberu shared pictures from the screening, which was attended by the cast, crew and well-wishers of Gangs of Lagos, including Kemi Lala Akindoju, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, OC Ukeje, Naz Onuzo, Akah Nnani, Kunle Afolayan and more.
