The 2017 auditions of the Lagos Grows Talent started on Tuesday 18th December 2017 and came to an end yesterday, 21st December 2017.
The auditions which held at five different locations within Lagos State- Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Epe, Ikeja and Badagry boasted of different Lagosians and Nigerians showcasing different types of talent and battling it out to get to the next stage of the competition.
The auditions also saw celebrity judges like Toyin Abraham, Sotayo Sobola, Tee-Y mix, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Caroline Danjuma, Humblesmith and Alariwo judge the contestants while also seizing the opportunity to enjoy themselves and encourage contestants.
It is safe to say that the judges and contestants witnessed more than what they bargained for because they were absolutely wowed by the talents and creativity of young Nigerians. Not only was there singing, Dancing and comedy, but there was Body stunts, word play, Drawing and painting, fire stunts, poetry and many more.
Some of the Judges were also as fun and interactive as they could be with Humblesmith doing a mock performance showcasing himself as a contestant who came to audition, Toyin Abraham joined some of the contestants during their performance by dancing with them, laughing, encouraging them and even hugging some of them after their performance thanking them for a job well done.
Yomi Fash-Lanso also made the auditions fun and lively by taking pictures and recording videos with the contestants while laughing and playing with most of them.
Another judge who wowed at the auditions was Caroline Danjuma who dished out beauty and style in all the dresses she wore to the event.
It is also very important to note that the leading 10 contestants will perform at the “One Lagos Fiesta” with the Governor of Lagos State in attendance, and selection of an overall winner chosen by the audience.
Cash prizes are also up for grabs
First prize: 1.5 million
Second prize:1 million
Third prize:500 thousand
Plus lots of other consolation prizes will be won.
