In November 2021, Charles Okpaleke of Play Network Studios announced he was working with Rogers Ofime of Native Media and Agozie Ugwu on a new movie, Hijack 93: The Mad Men And The Aircraft. The Nigerian Tribune yesterday announced new players in the collaboration. They are the UK-based filmmaker, Femi Oyeniran, the UK Government Department of International Trade (DIT) and the British Film Institute (BFI).
Hijack 93 tells the story of four teenagers who hijacked a Nigerian Airways plane in 1993.
Production, cast and release details for the movie are yet to be released.
