It was two days of recognition and celebration of hard work at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) which held on the 7th and 8th of September, 2019. The festival which is in its third year had its award and gala night at the York Cinemas in Toronto. The objective of TINFF is to create a merging point for Nollywood, Hollywood, Bollywood, and International films and music.
Nollywood artistes did us proud at the event. Some of the awardees include Judith Audu, Kiki Omeili, Lilian Esoro, Toyin Abrahams, Kenneth Okolie, Yemisi Banjoko, and Kunle Afolayan.
We say a big congratulations to all the winners! More laurels to your collection.
The Wives Play made a return to the stage last week September 5th – 9th at the Muson Centre, Lagos. The play, written by Professor Ahmed Yerima, and produced and directed by Kemi Lala Akindoju, is about the drama, suspicions and intrigue that surround Chief Gbadegesin, and the four women in his life. Nollywood bigwigs such as Kate Henshaw, Shaffy Bello, Jide Kosoko, Binta Ayo Mogaji, and Kemi Lala Akindoju made up the cast of The Wives. This is the second time The WIves will be going on stage under the production of Kemi Lala Akindoju. The Make It Happen Productions in partnership with YNaija brought the play back this time around.

Get ready to laugh your heart out as Three Thieves comes to the cinemas on the 4th of October, 2019.
Three Thieves, directed by Udoka Oyeka and produced by Trino Motion Pictures, is about three friends, Koye Kekere-Ekun, Frank Donga and Shawn Faqua, who are frustrated with their present employment cum financial status.
A decision to play the impostor gets them a robbery gig which was supposed to end all their troubles. Things however become intense when the original thieves come after them. What happens next? We don’t know yet. We are sure you’re also curious about what happens to “Tom, Dick and Harry” on their way “back to inside the house from outside the house.” Confused about that phrase?
